Missouri Bar members' five free MoBarCLE programs are now ready

Message from Missouri Bar President Tom Bender

I hope this message finds you and your family well and enduring the ongoing changes we face together. As we all continue to adapt our lives and practices to these times, I'm sharing our newest resources to help keep you well and your practices strong.

Five hours of free CLE

Earlier this month we announced that we will help members obtain their needed continuing legal education credits while providing meaningful content directly related to our practices during the pandemic. Our MoBarCLE team has worked hard over the past few weeks to produce this programming.

Each member of The Missouri Bar may now access up to five free MoBarCLE programs as follows:

  • two hours of ethics credit, including one hour of elimination of bias credit, and
  • three hours of practice management programming consisting of new content specific to the pandemic and responses to it.

MoBarCLE has developed seven live webinar programs  including four ethics programs and one elimination of bias program – which are all set to repeat multiple times between now and Sept. 30.

To register for complimentary programs in the COVID-19 Free CLE Series, select the program you wish to attend and follow the instructions in red under description to register.

We're listening

The lawyers you've elected to represent you on our Board of Governors are diverse in many ways. Of note, nearly half of the board are lawyers from solo or small firm practice settings. As such, we recognize the responsibilities, joys and stresses Missouri lawyers in all parts of the state experience and will continue to offer resources, services and more – such as this free CLE series – to aid all our members in weathering this current crisis.

As always, please contact me with your suggestions or ideas when it comes to improving the law and our profession.

Stay well,

Tom Bender
