Amy Coopman receives MOLAP’s Dorothy Kaiser Award
Amy Coopman received this year’s Dorothy Kaiser Award in recognition of her contributions in the field of chemical dependency, recovery, and continuing, compassionate care for lawyers and pioneering contributions to the overall well-being of Missouri lawyers.
The Missouri Lawyers’ Assistance Program presented the award during its luncheon on Oct. 30 at The Missouri Bar Center in Jefferson City.
Coopman founded Bridge Mediation LLC in 2020, and she conducts mediations on a wide range of civil disputes, including business, education, employment, and personal injury matters. She is a qualified neutral and approved mediator on Missouri and Kansas state and federal lists, a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, and an FINRA arbitrator. She is on the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation Board of Directors and KCMBA Well-Being Committee.
Coopman said she supports efforts to mentor new mediators and enjoys learning well-being tips and practices.
“I am grateful to be honored with the 2026 Dorothy Kaiser Award,” Coopman said. “MOLAP does such important work for lawyers across Missouri. It has been my privilege to … shine the light on this underused resource.”
