Apply for St. Louis County vacancy on Board of Governors

The Missouri Bar Board of Governors is accepting applications to fill an upcoming board vacancy in District 9 – St. Louis County – for the 2022-23 bar year. The Missouri Bar must receive letters of application by Aug. 26, 2022.

Who Is eligible to apply?

Any person who is in good standing and enrolled to vote in District 9 (St. Louis County) may apply. A lawyer must be employed or maintain their principal law office full-time in St. Louis County to be eligible to apply for the board vacancy.

How will the selection process work?

Letters of application will be distributed to the members of the Board of Governors for review and consideration. At its next regularly scheduled meeting (Sept. 14, 2022), by a majority vote, the Board of Governors will select an applicant to fill the vacancy.

What is the duration of the term?

The board-elected applicant shall serve for the regular term of two years, which will expire with the adjournment of the Annual Meeting of The Missouri Bar in September 2024.
