Board of Governors set to meet May 19

The Missouri Bar Board of Governors will convene May 19 in Jefferson City, in conjunction with the week-long series of the bar’s virtual Spring Committee Meetings.

The board – which is comprised of Missouri lawyers elected by their peers to represent their respective geographical areas – will discuss a range of matters, including financial updates, new committee and commission appointments, government relations, and the client security fund.

The meeting will also include updates on Missouri Legal Aid Programs funded by Legal Services Corporation, along with information about expanded remote public access to legal documents, The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section activities, and Board Assessment Committee decisions.

Finally, Board of Governors’ officers will report on their recent actions in representing the bar at the local, state, and national level, as well as their participation in various bar activities.

The Missouri Bar's Board of Governors meet several times a year to conduct the business of The Missouri Bar and keep abreast of issues. See past meeting minutes, as well as future meeting dates, here.
