Missouri BLI 2019

This spring, local and specialty bar association leaders are invited to attend the inaugural MissouriBar Leadership Institute. Over the course of two days, attendees will have an opportunity to hone their leadership skills while connecting with others in similar roles. Here are a few things you should know if you’re thinking about attending.

Why did this program start? The Missouri Bar knows that its lawyers are natural leaders. This conference, modeled with the American Bar Association’s leadership institution as inspiration, will bring lawyer-leaders together in a space where they can collaborate and share current successes and challenges with one another. Attendees will also have a chance to learn how to best serve their groups thanks to plenaries and workshops presented by past bar leaders and industry experts.

Who will be there? You, we hope! The 2019 programming also features a host of quality speakers and panelists, including Ray Williams, Keith and Dana Cutler, Theresa Levings, Zoe Linza, Crista Hogan and more. You’ll be able to network with them and others during meals and breaks.

What will I learn? You’ll walk away with something new and useful to apply in your local or specialty bar. Planned sessions include conversations about attracting and retaining members; technology tools for bars on a budget; effective communication; and the art of delegating.

How much does it cost? The Missouri Bar Leadership Institute was created to be reasonable and accessible to all bar leaders. The regular registration rate is $99, but attendees who signup by March 1, 2019, receive the $75 early bird pricing. A limited number of need-based scholarships will be available which will consist of a complimentary registration to MO BLI and $150 travel stipend. The application deadline is Feb. 1, 2019.

How do I register? You can sign up now through the conference date here.
