Court clerks: Empower the public with free legal resources

Missouri court clerks play a crucial role in assisting the public but are not able to provide legal advice. The Missouri Bar is here to help with a wealth of FREE resources to empower citizens facing legal challenges or navigating the court system. 

Find free resources for all Missourians on the following two websites: 

MissouriLawyersHelp.org: This user-friendly website provides a comprehensive library of downloadable materials. Topics include: 

  • Client resources on finding a lawyer, understanding the legal process, and more 
  • Specific legal areas like probate, business, family law, and senior citizen concerns 
  • Disaster preparedness and recovery resources 
  • Downloadable Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care form that helps individuals make informed decisions about their future healthcare 

ShowMeRights.org: There are a lot of things young people need to know about turning 18. The Missouri Bar Young Lawyer’s Section created a website with information that can help. From consumer rights to voting, ShowMeRights.org can help them navigate becoming adults. 

Spread the word: 

  • All materials are available for free download at MissouriLawyersHelp.org. 
  • While not all resources are available in print, you can request them through the online order form
  • Consider placing brochures and flyers in waiting areas to raise awareness of these valuable tools offered by The Missouri Bar.
