Delia Turner Samples joins Legal Services of Southern Missouri Board of Directors

TW_Appointment_Delia Turner SamplesThe Missouri Bar Board of Governors appointed Delia Turner Samples to the Legal Services of Southern Missouri Board of Directors during its May 13 meeting.

Legal Services of Southern Missouri is a nonprofit that provides case representation and advice on civil matters to low-income residents in 43 counties across southern Missouri. Its Board of Directors – which includes lawyers and non-lawyers – helps ensure Legal Services of Southern Missouri is fulfilling its mission of helping clients.

Samples is the mitigation specialist at the Office of the Federal Public Defender in Cape Girardeau. Prior to that, she worked at the Missouri State Public Defender Office. Samples joined The Missouri Bar in 2018.

"My entire legal career has been dedicated to lifting up people in Southern Missouri who need it the most, and I am excited to continue doing that with this opportunity," Samples said.

Samples’ term will end in August 2026.
