Help Missourians in crisis: Volunteer with the Missouri Disaster Recovery Legal Assistance Hotline

When disaster strikes, Missourians need help with various disaster-related legal problems like landlord-tenant issues, replacing important documents, insurance claims, and contractor scams.

You can help by volunteering with the Missouri Disaster Recovery Legal Assistance Hotline.

How it works:

1. The Missouri Bar opens the Disaster Recovery Legal Assistance Hotline.

2. Those affected by natural disasters call the hotline with legal questions.

3. Volunteer lawyers return the calls and provide free legal help. Lawyers can NOT represent callers or accept them as clients.

The toll-free disaster hotline is a partnership between The Missouri Bar, the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
