Help others, earn MCLE credit through QPR training

Missouri Bar members are invited to attend QPR training Nov. 21, 2022, and Dec. 9, 13, 15, or 28, 2022. The training is free and is approved for up to 1.6 hours of MCLE credit, including ethics.

What is QPR training?

Lawyers often encounter people in emotional pain, and the profession itself has elevated rates of depression, substance use, and suicide. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer, and training teaches simple, practical, and proven steps anyone can take to respond to someone in crisis and can save lives. QPR is the most widely taught suicide prevention gatekeeper training in the world. Participants will become more comfortable and confident in broaching the sensitive subject of suicide, receive support resources, and have the opportunity to practice and discuss skills learned. Session size is limited to 25 participants. The session will conclude with recent research regarding lawyer and judicial well-being. Attendees will receive access to online support materials to reinforce learning; a pre- and post-test about confidence in discussing the topic of suicide; and a certificate of completion at the end of the course.

How do I register?
