In brief: July-August 2024
Vol. 80, No. 4 / July-August 2024
Vote in upcoming Missouri Bar Board of Governors and Young Lawyers’ Section Council elections
From July 19-Aug. 15, Missouri lawyers will have the opportunity to elect leaders to The Missouri Bar Board of Governors and The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section Council. Missouri lawyers voting in the Board of Governors election will receive an email from the Office of the State Courts Administrator on July 19 containing an electronic ballot to vote in the contested seats on the board. YLS members will receive an email on July 19 from The Missouri Bar containing an electronic ballot to vote in the contested seats for YLS Council.
Missouri Bar members are eligible to vote in the election based upon the current voting district that is on file for a member. The voting district is where the lawyer is employed or maintains their principal office.

Tech tip
Face ID and touch/fingerprint ID are convenient security measures for a device, but they are not the most secure. Did you know that TSA airport security can ask you to unlock your phone if you have face or touch/fingerprint ID enabled, but they can’t ask you to enter a PIN or password? Many phones have ways to quickly disable these weaker security features, the most common being to reboot the device. Take the time to learn how to quickly accomplish this on your device and protect sensitive client information.
