To honor the lives and achievements of deceased members, The Missouri Bar solicits additional information about these men and women from family members or printed obituaries. When that information is not provided or is otherwise unavailable, the Journal will print only the deceased’s name, city of residence, and date of death.

Thomas Bruce Aaby, age 68, of Cannon Falls, MN, on Sept. 20, 2019. Aaby was a lawyer with Metro Title, among other law firms. He graduated from William Mitchell School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1978.

Louise McKeon Belt, age 85, of Wildwood, on Aug. 21, 2021. Belt graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1986.

Robert J. Blackwell, age 71, of O’Fallon, on March 28, 2021. Blackwell practiced at Blackwell & Associates P.C. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1973.

Lynn Bock, age 64, of New Madrid, on Sept. 6, 2021. He served as general counsel for New Madrid, Lilbourn, Marston, and Parma. He was also counsel for the 34th Judicial Circuit Juvenile Office and the St. John Levee & Drainage District of Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1985.

Fred Alphonse Boeckmann, age 74, of St. Louis, on Aug. 17, 2021. Boeckmann served as city attorney for Columbia for 26 years. He joined The Missouri Bar in 1974.

Nicholas B. Braun, age 75, of Eureka, on Oct. 9, 2021. Braun practiced law at the Legal Aid Society of St. Louis and served on The Missouri Bar Board of Governors and the Interest on Lawyer Trust Account Program (IOLTA). He graduated from Washington University School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1971.

Clifford Brown, age 79, of Republic, on Sept. 24, 2021. Brown practiced at Carnahan, Evans, Cantwell & Brown, where he focused on estate planning, trust litigation, and tax law. He also served on the Missouri Board of Law Examiners. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1968.

Thomas J. Daly, age 86, of Kansas City, on June 1, 2021. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1960.

Thomas M. Deacy, age 66, of Kansas City, on July 16, 2021. Deacy worked as a trial lawyer at Deacy and Deacy LLP. He graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1982.

Donald G. Dylewski, age 70, of St. Louis, on Jan. 15, 2021. Dylewski served 40 years in the St. Louis City Counselor’s Office. He joined The Missouri Bar in 1977.

Taylor Fields, age 77, of Kansas City, on July 28, 2021. Fields helped found Fields & Brown LLC. He practiced employment law and labor relations. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1971.

George W. Frick, age 76, of Palm Desert, CA, on July 5, 2020. Frick joined The Missouri Bar in 1969.

Gretchen Gaynor, age 59, of St. Louis, on March 2, 2020. Gaynor worked as a market conduct examiner for the Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance. She joined The Missouri Bar in 2011.

Hon. Edward C. Graham, age 74, of Redondo Beach, CA, on Dec. 22, 2020. Graham joined The Missouri Bar in 1971.

Bradley A. Hook, age 35, of Independence, on Sept. 14, 2021. Hook served as senior counsel to GEHA. He graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 2011.

Catherine Sweeney Hinkle, age 92, of Austin, TX, on Oct. 27, 2021. Hinkle joined The Missouri Bar in 1978.

Robert A. Iannone, age 88, of Belton, TX, on June 13, 2021. Iannone joined The Missouri Bar in 1971.

Eli Karsh, age 53, of St. Louis, on Sept. 5, 2021. Karsh practiced civil rights law in St. Louis for 25 years. He graduated from Washington University School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1994.

Brandon Dwight Kerns, age 27, of Kansas City, on Sept. 15, 2021. Kerns served as an assistant Missouri attorney general in the litigation division. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 2020.

Hon. Charles D. Kitchin, age 83, of St. Louis, on Aug. 23, 2021. Kitchin served as a judge for the 22nd Circuit Court. He graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1964.

Richard E. Koenig, age 62, of Leawood, KS, on Oct. 15, 2020. Koenig practiced law in Sedalia for 23 years. He graduated from the University of Tulsa School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1988.

William Hudson Leedy, age 92, of Washington D.C., on June 18, 2020. Leedy practiced law with Lathrop Firm for 44 years and served as general counsel to the Federal Reserve Bank. He attended the University of Missouri School of Law and New York University School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1952. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a judge advocate general.

Mary Beth Lundak, age 58, of Kansas City, on June 20, 2021. Lundak worked as a lawyer for Legal Aid of Western Missouri and prosecuting attorney for Jackson County. She graduated from Creighton University School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1988.

Charles John “Jack” McEnery, age 66, of St. Louis, on Sept. 29, 2021. McEnery practiced law in St. Louis for more than 60 years after serving as a judge advocate general in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1955.

Hon. John G. Miller, age 80, of Odessa, on March 15, 2021. Miller served as a judge for Gladstone and Odessa before being appointed as associate circuit judge for Lafayette County District Court. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1967.

Hon. G. Jack Moore, age 89, of Belton, on Nov. 10, 2020. Moore joined The Missouri Bar in 1973.

Cleo H. Muller, age 87, of Blue Springs, on Jan. 28, 2021. Muller worked at Muller and Muller, where he practiced real estate, landlord-tenant, retail, and commercial collection law. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1962.

Michael W. Sagan, age 74, of Kansas City, on Aug. 2, 2021. Sagan joined The Missouri Bar in 1972.

Hon. Kevin P. Schehr, age 66, of Versailles, on Feb. 26, 2021. Schehr practiced for 17 years with Woolsey Yarger Law Firm and later served as prosecuting attorney for Stover. He served as the municipal judge for Stover and associate circuit judge for Morgan County. He graduated from University of Missouri School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1985.

David A. Schwartze, age 73, of Vienna, on Aug. 24, 2021. Schwartze served as Maries County prosecuting attorney and owned a civil practice. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1974. Schwartze served in the U.S. Army.

James Stein, age 64, of St. Peters, on June 12, 2021. Stein worked at Bryan, Cave, McPheeters & McRoberts before opening a firm, where he focused on elder care. He joined The Missouri Bar in 1987.

Harry Monroe Taliaferro Jr., age 98, of Prairie Village, KS, on Oct. 22, 2021. Taliaferro served as a lawyer for Butler Manufacturing Company for 35 years. He graduated from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 1952. Taliaferro served in the U.S. Army.

Giles Michael Walsh, age 37, of Fairway, KS, on March 15, 2021. Walsh practiced law in Chicago, St. Louis, and Kansas City. He graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law and joined The Missouri Bar in 2011.

Dee Wampler, age 81, of Springfield, on Oct. 7, 2021. Wampler practiced law in the Ozarks for more than 50 years, serving as Greene County prosecutor before becoming a defense lawyer. Wampler was a partner at Wampler & Passanise Law Office and joined The Missouri Bar in 1966.
