How to submit an obituary
Obituaries are submitted to The Missouri Bar through a variety of mechanisms. To facilitate this process, the bar created a form that may be accessed via MoBar.wufoo.com/forms/in-memoriam. We will not print a notice unless a copy of the death certificate or obituary is submitted.
Henry J. Babilon, age 63, of Parkville, on July 4, 2024. Babilon graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 2002. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
George Stephen Beimdiek III, age 82, of Carthage, on June 17, 2024. Beimdiek graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1969. Beimdiek was the president and CEO of Beimdiek Insurance. He served in the U.S. Army.
Delores Mae “Dee” Berman, age 85, of Chesterfield, on April 7, 2024. Berman was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1992.
Hon. Charles Edward Berry, age 75, of St. Louis, on Sept. 29, 2023. Berry was Crestwood municipal judge and was in private practice. He graduated from the Michigan State University School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1995. Berry served in the U.S. Army.
Stephen W. Daniels, age 76, of Rolla, on July 10, 2024. After being admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1995, Daniels operated a private practice. He served in the U.S. Navy.
George Douros Jr., age 79, of Thornton, Colorado, on May 5, 2023. Douros graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1972. He started in general practice before shifting his focus to tax law.
Charles Marshall Friedman, age 84, of St. Louis, on Sept. 30, 2024. Friedman was a trial lawyer whose legal career spanned more than five decades. He graduated from the Washington University School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1965. Friedman served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
John Louis Gianoulakis, age 85, of St. Louis, on Sept. 18, 2024. Gianoulakis graduated from Harvard Law School and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1963. He co-founded his private practice and was a trial and appellate lawyer.
Michael Haer, age 71, of Richardson, Texas, on Aug. 6, 2024. Haer practiced law in Kansas City before becoming an FBI special agent and foreign service diplomat. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1980.
Hon. Ronald R. Holliger, age 78, of Blue Springs, on Aug. 1, 2024. Holliger was a litigator for 22 years. He served on the Circuit Court of Jackson County and the Missouri Court of Appeals before becoming the general counselor for Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1973.
Bryan Eugene Martin, age 78, of Kansas City, on May 24, 2024. Martin was in private practice for most of his career, then worked for Legal Aid of Western Missouri and the State of Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1975. Martin served in the U.S. Army.
Bruce McCurry, age 77, of Springfield, on Aug. 19, 2024. McCurry was a lawyer at White, Dickey & Allemann, LLP before founding Chaney & McCurry, LLP. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1973. McCurry served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Daniel David Melloway, age 62, of Columbia, on May 27, 2024. Melloway was a real estate lawyer in St. Louis for 20 years. He graduated from the Boston College of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1986.
Daniel Thomas Moore, age 73, of Poplar Bluff, on Aug. 10, 2024. Moore practiced law for nearly 50 years after graduating from the University of Missouri School of Law and being admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1975.
William H. Norton Jr., age 76, of Kansas City, on May 23, 2024. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and being admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1973, Norton owned his own law practice.
Anne Schneider, age 61, of Jefferson City, on Aug. 24, 2024. Schneider was antitrust counsel for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office. She graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1988.
Harry Don Williams, age 73, of Columbia, on Aug. 13, 2024. Williams was a lawyer for the state for nearly 30 years before opening his private practice, Williams Law Firm. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1985.
