‘Is It Legal To…?’: Everything you need to know about guardianships, conservatorships
The topic of guardianships and conservatorships has flooded news headlines over the last few years, most recently with popstar Britney Spears’ high-profile court battle to remove her father as her conservator (leading to the #FreeBritney social media movement). In the newest episode of “Is It Legal To…?” Jason Jacobe – a Columbia lawyer who specializes in elder law, estate administration, and state and business matters – dives into this topic and explains the difference between the two terms, when and how they are used, and more.
