Lawyers’ Assistance Program Conference to address how addiction, trauma, narcissism impact the profession

Registration for the Nov. 1 annual Missouri Lawyers’ Assistance Program Conference is now open, offering the opportunity for lawyers to learn about mental and physical well-being.

The event will be from 8:30 a.m.-4:15 p.m. at The Missouri Bar in Jefferson City or online.

Registration is $54 for in-person or virtual attendance, and there is no deadline for registration. Lawyers can earn 7.6 MCLE credits for attending.

Topics to be covered include:

- “From junkie to judge: Overcoming addiction and resources for attorneys;”

- “The legal athlete: How a holistic approach to practice can reduce burnout and stress;”

- “The lines of trauma: Ethical and practical considerations;”

- “The lawyers in balance: Techniques for stress management and emotional resilience;” and

- “Narcissism in the legal profession.”

The Missouri Bar, The Bar Plan, and The Missouri Bar Foundation are sponsoring the annual event, in its 29th year.
