Lawyers can access, contribute to diversity and inclusion tools at MoBar.org

The Missouri Bar is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the profession, so much so that a core strategic goal is having Missouri lawyers reflect the diverse constituencies that they serve – and to be a place where all members feel they belong.

In an effort to even better communicate how The Missouri Bar is working to make those goals happen, the organization has launched a Diversity & Inclusion web page where lawyers can learn and contribute.

In addition to information about the bar’s strategic direction and diversity goals, the page provides statistics about the makeup of the legal profession in Missouri. Visitors also have access to resources aimed at identifying and overcoming personal bias, including MCLE sources and tools for testing implicit bias.

The page also features a list of opportunities for engagement and involvement, including the bar’s diversity committee and diversity seats on both the Board of Governors and Young Lawyers’ Section Council.

The Missouri Bar is also excited about adding additional information, resources, and tools to the page. If you have an idea for how The Missouri Bar can be doing better or sharing more, email your ideas and suggestions to ListenNow@mobar.org.
