Lawyers invited to observe Well-Being Week in Law
No-cost CLE and more set for May 4-8
Numerous studies have confirmed that general wellness and mental health can impact a lawyer’s life – both at and outside of work. During Well-Being Week in Law, May 4-8, members of Missouri’s legal profession are invited to reflect on their own well-being and grow their emotional intelligence.
The Missouri Bar, supported by the Missouri Lawyers’ Assistance Program and the Standing Committee on Well-Being in the Profession, will be sharing resources and learning opportunities focused on physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional well-being and their ties to emotional intelligence.
As part of Well-Being Week in Law, lawyers can attend a no-cost, virtual CLE focused on practical strategies to navigate AI responsibly while sustaining resilience, ethical clarity, and high performance in modern law practice. The session qualifies for ethics credit.
In addition, members are invited to read up on various aspects of well-being through a series of articles written by MOLAP staff and fill out “gratitude grams” for colleagues.
“The Missouri Bar is here for lawyers and judges who are navigating the challenges that so often come with practicing law, from burnout and stress to anxiety and substance misuse,” said Athena Dickson, 2025-2026 Missouri Bar president. “Please reach out if you need help.”
