Lawyers invited to participate in 2024 Out of the Darkness Walks

Walks take place in St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, and Columbia

Research shows that lawyers are consistently near or at the top of the list of professions with the highest suicide rates. To help bring awareness and hope, The Missouri Bar’s Committee on Well-Being in the Profession is inviting lawyers, judges, and law students to participate in one of four Out of the Darkness Walks taking place across the state this fall. Teams, led by Missouri lawyers and Missouri Bar staff, include:

St. Louis – 9/22/2024 – in partnership with the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis

Springfield – 9/28/2024 – Erica Mynarich, team captain

Kansas City – 10/5/2024 – Whitney Fay, team captain

Columbia – 10/27/2024 – Stacy Parmer, team captain

Can’t make it? Teams are also accepting donations. Learn more about Out of the Darkness Walks here.

If you are in an emergency situation, please call 911 or the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.
