This summer, lawyers of Missouri, voting in districts throughout the state, elected new members to the 45-member Board of Governors of The Missouri Bar. Board members are elected to serve two-year terms, which begin with the bar’s Annual Meeting in late September.

Kate Noland, lawyer with Noland Law Firm, LLC, was elected to represent lawyers in District 8. Here, she discusses her goals for her time on the board.

What made you interested in joining the Board of Governors?

After being a part of the Missouri Bar’s Leadership Academy and serving on the Young Lawyers’ Section, I saw the Board of Governors as another way to serve the bar.

What part of being on the board are you most excited about?

I am excited about understanding everything the bar has to offer and how to further help lawyers.

What do you want lawyers from your district to know?

I want them to know the bar has numerous resources available to help lawyers.

What do you enjoy most about The Missouri Bar?

I enjoy working with attorneys from different parts of the state and different practice areas on projects to benefit the entire profession.
