Meet your new Board of Governors: Bharat Varadachari, District 11
Bharat Varadachari was recently elected to represent District 11 (City of St. Louis) on The Missouri Bar Board of Governors. The board is comprised of 45 lawyers elected by their peers to represent their respective geographical areas.
Varadachari is a partner with HeplerBroom LLC focusing on transportation law and insurance defense.
Varadachari answered the following questions to help constituents get to know him.
What made you interested in serving on the Board of Governors?
“I have gained so much personally and professionally by practicing in the state of Missouri for the past 26 years and would love the opportunity to assist the board in any way I can.”
What part of being on the board are you most excited about?
“I look forward to working with other board members from across the state and getting a bird’s-eye view of all the different matters that the board addresses.”
What do you want the lawyers you represent to know?
“I do not come in with any agenda and look forward to improving the ability to practice law in any way that I can.”
What do you value most about The Missouri Bar and its mission?
“It is inclusive and truly strives to help attorneys in a way to better serve their clients and themselves.”
Why did you want to become a lawyer?
“I wish I could say it was more idealistic in nature, but the profession always struck me as one that is interesting and competitive. It was only later that I realized how much our clients depend on us to navigate their own personal situations.”
Is there anything else you would like members of the bar to know about you?
“It is an honor to serve the board.”
