Meet your new Board of Governors: Keegan Tinney, District 5

Keegan Tinney was recently elected to represent District 5 on The Missouri Bar Board of Governors, encompassing Barry, Barton, Cedar, Dade, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Stone, and Vernon counties. The board is comprised of 45 lawyers elected by their peers to represent their respective geographical areas. 

Tinney is a partner at Dreyer & Tinney where he focuses on personal injury law. He earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law. 

Tinney answered the following questions to help constituents get to know him. 

What made you interested in serving on the Board of Governors? 

“After being involved in Leadership Academy and YLS, serving on the Board of Governors was the next step [in leadership at the bar].” 

What part of being on the board are you most excited about? 

“I am most excited about furthering the great work the board has done before me.” 

What do you want the lawyers you represent to know? 

“I want the lawyers to know that I will be there to help in any way I can.” 

What do you value most about The Missouri Bar and its mission?  

“The Missouri Bar offers many different services for every type of lawyer and is here to help.” 

Why did you want to become a lawyer?  

“I became a lawyer because I wanted to help people solve problems. This profession allows me to do just that.”
