What are you most looking forward to in your role as a YLS Council member?

I’m looking forward to connecting with lawyers across Missouri and working innovatively with the council to provide opportunities for lawyers to connect, learn and grow as professionals.

What made you want to be a lawyer in the first place?

For me, I knew being a lawyer, specifically a prosecutor, would give me the best platform to advocate for vulnerable people who have been victimized. As a Special Victims Unit prosecutor, I am able to give victims a voice and stand by them as we fight for justice together.

What do you want other young lawyers to learn about the YLS or The Missouri Bar?

I want others to know there are so many resources available to us as young lawyers!

Who is your personal hero?

My mom is my personal hero. But this profession introduces me to new heroes every day. Anyone, especially a child who is brave enough to speak out about abuse they’ve endured, is a hero to me.

What are you most looking forward to in your role as a YLS Council member?

I am looking forward to giving back to my community though public service, as well as giving back to my profession by paying all of the wisdom I’ve obtained from more seasoned attorneys over the years forward to younger lawyers.

What made you want to be a lawyer in the first place?

I wanted to become a lawyer to advocate on behalf of those whose voices are often unheard and better my community.

What do you want other young lawyers to learn about the YLS or The Missouri Bar?

I want other young lawyers to learn about the various ways they can not only get involved to grow professionally but the countless ways they can give back to their respective communities.

Who is your personal hero?

My parents.
