Meet your new YLS Western Appellate District representative: Darrell Smith
The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section Council recently elected Darrell Smith to represent the Western Appellate District.
YLS works to facilitate the professional growth and public service of new and recently admitted Missouri lawyers. The YLS Council is comprised of approximately 35 lawyers from districts across the state who are elected by their peers to serve two-year terms.
Smith earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law in 2018. He is legal counsel for the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

What are you most looking forward to in your role as a YLS Council member?
"I am looking forward to working with like-minded people in serving the legal community in Missouri.”
What is your favorite way to spend a day off?
"I enjoy watching murder mysteries with my lady.”
