Missouri Bar Board of Governors, YLS to meet July 14 in Camdenton
The Missouri Bar Board of Governors and Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section Council, each comprised of Missouri lawyers elected by their peers to represent their respective geographical areas, will convene Monday, July 14, at Old Kinderhook in Camdenton.
In addition to hearing financial summaries and reports from officers, board members will hear a report from the Special Committee on the Impartiality of the Judiciary and review The Missouri Bar’s strategic direction. They will also select the candidate slate for the Western and Southern Appellate District board seats and hold a forum for the 2025-2026 Missouri Bar vice president candidates.
The board will also learn about legislative developments and receive updates from the Appointments Committee.

The YLS Council will hear reports from about a dozen YLS committees, as well as updates about the Annual Meeting of The Missouri Bar and Judicial Conference, the Board of Governors, The Missouri Bar Foundation, and legislative topics. The council will also review the candidates for the District 4 YLS vacancy and a potential bylaw change.
