Missouri lawyers elect 2024-25 Board of Governors

The lawyers of Missouri, voting in districts throughout the state, elected four members to the 45-member Board of Governors of The Missouri Bar and retained 15 incumbents for new terms beginning this September. Members of the Board of Governors are elected to serve two-year terms. Newly elected members or past members elected in different districts of the Board of Governors include: 

- District 9: Michael R. Cherba

- District 10: Syd Tippie

- District 11: Ashley J. Moore and Alexa N. Hillery 

- District 12: Amy R. Jackson and Brandon L. Corl

The following members of the Board of Governors were re-elected to a two-year term: 

- District 1: John M. Spencer

- District 2: Hon. Corey R. Moon 

- District 4: Jason A. Paulsmeyer

- District 7: Mark J. Welker 

- District 8: Jason K. Rew and Patricia Scaglia 

- District 9: Robert E. Jones, Lauren C. Collins, and Joan M. Swartz

- District 11: Bryan Sanger 

- District 12: Mira Mdivani

- District 13: Carl M. Ward 

- Eastern District: Monique D. Abby 

The newly elected and returning board members will take office at the conclusion of the 2024 Annual Meeting of The Missouri Bar, which takes place Sept. 18-20 in St. Louis. 

The Missouri Bar is a statewide organization that is dedicated to improving the legal profession, the law, and the administration of justice for all Missourians. Created in 1944 by order of the Supreme Court of Missouri, it serves all 30,750 of Missouri’s practicing lawyers.
