St. Louis Area

Newton Barth LLP is pleased to announce that Desiree B. Austin-Holliday has joined the firm as a trial lawyer in its St. Louis office.

Austin-Holliday focuses her practice on criminal and civil litigation, including felonies, misdemeanors, juvenile and municipal cases; civil rights matters; employment discrimination; and personal injury cases. She is a 2018 graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law and is licensed to practice in Missouri. In addition to her law practice, Austin-Holliday is an accomplished writer, and her works have appeared in Missouri newspapers and law review journals.

Carnahan, Evans, Cantwell & Brown PC is pleased to announce that Jay Preston was named a shareholder.

Preston is a member of CECB’s litigation/dispute resolution, transactional, and marijuana/hemp practice groups. As a graduate of the University of Missouri’s joint M.B.A./J.D. program, Preston utilizes his business and legal knowledge to represent clients both inside and outside of the courtroom. He represents clients in civil litigation in both federal and state court, focusing on business and real estate matters. Preston also assists clients in avoiding litigation through proper drafting of contracts/agreements, and counseling on how to deal with precarious situations.

Preston is a native of Springfield, an Eagle Scout, and a graduate of Leadership Springfield and The Missouri Bar Leadership Academy.
