New Missouri lawyers sworn in during 2025 Spring Enrollment Ceremonies
About 50 individuals were sworn into the legal profession before judges of the Supreme Court of Missouri, officers of The Missouri Bar, and members of the Missouri Board of Law Examiners during Friday’s Spring Enrollment Ceremonies. Those lawyers were among the 86 individuals who passed the February 2025 Bar Exam.

“On behalf of The Missouri Bar, it’s my great honor to welcome the newly enrolled lawyers,” said 2024-25 Missouri Bar President Shelly Dreyer. “Today marks a culmination of their hard work and dedication and the beginning of meaningful careers in the service of the profession and citizens of Missouri.”
Surrounded by her mom, dad, and fiancée, new lawyer Alleigh Fine was beaming following the enrollment ceremonies. She was one step closer to entering the health law practice.
“It kind of feels like a weight lifted off my chest, and I just feel so grateful because I have an incredible support system,” said Fine, a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law.
Fine’s fiancée, Aj Surrell, praised Fine for her “resilience” and encouraged Fine to continue to follow her heart as she becomes a lawyer.
“To watch her finish law school, pass the bar, go through the whole process, she is the strongest person I know, and it’s the greatest thing to be standing next to her during this,” Surrell said.
Having taken the bar exam twice, new lawyer Carson Klein said finally being able to take the Oath of Admission was like a dream come true. A graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law, Klein said she is excited for what this next chapter will look like.
Klein’s mother, Melissa Gordon, said it was “amazing” to watch her daughter officially become a lawyer.
“There’s nothing she can’t do,” Gordon said, fighting back tears.
Holding her oath, Amari Spraggins said the moment felt “surreal” and wouldn’t have been possible if not for the support of her family and friends.
“You need someone to help ground you outside of the legal field, so that’s what your family and friends are for,” said Spraggins, a graduate of Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
