#NewMoLawyers celebrate passing the bar exam

More than 400 individuals received the confirmation they had anxiously been waiting for on Wednesday, Sept. 15 – they passed the July 2021 bar exam and are one large step closer to accomplishing their goals of becoming lawyers.

The Missouri Bar congratulates all the new lawyers and looks forward to celebrating with them in person at the Enrollment Ceremony on Oct. 1, 2021, in Jefferson City.  Full details for the Enrollment Ceremony are available at MBLE.org

Passing the bar exam is no easy accomplishment. Missouri is one of 40 jurisdictions that has adopted the Uniform Bar Examination, which is uniformly administered, graded, and scored. It includes a six-hour, 200 multiple-choice question exam; six, 30-minute essays; and a three-hour test consisting of two simulated case files. These test general principles of law, legal and factual analysis, and communications skills lawyers must have and know prior to becoming licensed to practice. The bar exam occurs on the last consecutive Tuesday and Wednesday of each February and July. Learn more about the bar exam in Missouri here

The Missouri Bar offers resources to help lawyers even better serve their clients, and encourages new enrollees to visit the bar’s new lawyers’ resources and member benefits webpages.
