As court clerks, you may be asked to provide legal advice, something you’re not legally allowed to do. The Missouri Bar is here to help with a variety of resources to allow you to direct the public to legal services and information on Missouri law.
Accessing legal services
- Lawyer Search tool: The Missouri Bar’s free search tool helps people find a lawyer currently accepting new clients. They can search by areas of practice and location.
- Missouri.FreeLegalAnswers.org: Qualifying individuals can receive answers to legal questions about noncriminal issues from volunteer lawyers in this free virtual clinic.
- Discounted and pro bono services: The public can locate free and reduced-cost legal services on this page. Many are funded by state and federal resources or are affiliated with local organizations and charities.
