Register for the 2026 Bernard Edelman DWI Law & Science Seminar

Hear from local and national DWI lawyers and forensic professionals during CLE plenaries and breakout sessions July 23-24

Missouri lawyers interested in the science behind driving while intoxicated cases can register for the annual Bernard Edelman DWI Law & Science Seminar.

Set July 23-24, and taking place virtually or in person in Lake Ozark, the Bernard Edelman DWI Law & Science Seminar is Missouri’s premier DWI conference, offering lawyers the opportunity to learn how to even better serve their clients in DWI cases from local and national lawyers. The seminar also offers a bootcamp covering the basics of DWI law for lawyers and paralegals throughout the second day of the conference.

CLE sessions will address steps for a reliable breath test, DREs and how to question them, considerations for THC-related DUI cases, and more. Participants can earn up to 16.5 MCLE and 2.0 Ethics credits. The conference is hosted by MoBarCLE and the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Types of passes

Standard: Standard passes cost $400 for MACDL members and $440 for non-MACDL members.

With standard passes, lawyers can:

  • Attend CLE sessions, panel discussions, and plenaries.
  • Receive breakfast and lunch on Thursday and Friday.
  • Access program recordings for one year.

The following individuals can receive in-person passes for $230:

  • Law students
  • Paralegals
  • Legal aid lawyers and paralegals
  • State public defenders
  • Prosecutors
  • Those with Missouri Protection and Advocacy Services

Virtual: MACDL members can receive virtual passes for $345. Non-MACDL members can receive virtual passes for $400.

With virtual passes, lawyers can watch CLE sessions, panel discussions, and plenaries, and can access program recordings for one year (available approximately one month after the conference).

DWI bootcamp: For just $155, lawyers and paralegals can purchase in-person or virtual passes solely for Friday’s programs. With the in-person and virtual bootcamp passes, individuals can view Friday’s basics/bootcamp sessions and the closing plenary session, as well as have access to program recordings for one year. Those with in-person bootcamp passes will also receive breakfast and lunch on Friday.
