Save on passes for Bernard Edelman DWI Law & Science Seminar through June 24

Missouri lawyers interested in even better understanding the science behind driving while intoxicated law can save by registering for the annual Bernard Edelman DWI Law & Science Seminar by June 24.

Set July 25-26 virtually and in person in Lake Ozark, the Bernard Edelman DWI Law & Science Seminar is Missouri’s premier DWI seminar, offering lawyers the opportunity to learn from local and national lawyers on ways to even better serve their clients in DWI cases. The conference is hosted by MoBarCLE and the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Types of passes

Standard: Until June 24, standard passes cost $345 for MACDL members and $385 for non-MACDL members. Starting June 25, lawyers will pay $55 more for standard passes – $400 for MACDL members and $440 for non-MACDL members.

With standard passes, lawyers can:

• View CLE sessions, panel discussions, and plenaries;
• Receive meals for breakfast, lunch, and reception on Thursday and breakfast and lunch on Friday; and
• Access program recordings for one year.

The following individuals can receive in-person passes for $230:

• Law students; Paralegals
• Paralegals;
• Legal aid lawyers and paralegals;
• State public defenders;
• Prosecutors; and
• Those with Missouri protection and advocacy services.

Virtual: MACDL members can receive virtual passes for $345 until June 24. Starting June 25, virtual passes will cost $400 for all lawyers.

With virtual passes, lawyers can access program recordings for one year (available approximately one month after the conference).

DWI bootcamp: Lawyers and paralegals can purchase in-person or virtual passes for solely Friday’s programs for $155. With the in-person and virtual bootcamp passes, individuals can view Friday’s CLE sessions, panel discussions, and plenaries, as well as have access to program recordings for one year. Those with in-person bootcamp passes will also receive breakfast and lunch on Friday.

• “Attacking the breath test: One sample vs. two samples,” presented by Virginia L. Landry, with Law Offices of Virginia L. Landry, Inc. from Aliso Viejo, California;
• “Creatively negotiating great outcomes for your clients: A prosecutor’s perspective,” presented by Kelly L. King, with the Attorney General’s Office in Jefferson City; and
• “How to avoid employment discrimination at work,” presented by Megan Atzert, with Wilke & Wilke in St. Louis.
