St. Louis City vacancy on the Young Lawyers' Section Council

Summary

Nominating petitions must be received by Oct. 19.

A vacancy has occurred on the Young Lawyers' Section (YLS) Council. The vacancy is in District 9 (the City of St. Louis). The YLS Council will fill the vacancy by majority vote.

The term for the council seat will end Sept. 2021, to fill the remaining time left of a two-year term. The individual who fills the vacancy may then run for a full two-year term (2021-2023) in the next general election.

The council requests that those interested in serving complete the nominating petition and file it with Brett Rolwes, The Missouri Bar YLS liaison, by 4 p.m., Monday, Oct. 19. The council invites those who file to include a resume and brief statement explaining their interest in serving on the YLS Council. All eligible petitions received will be submitted to the YLS Council for consideration, and a new representative will be elected by the council in October.

Information about the council is available at https://mobar.org/site/content/About/Young_Lawyers_Section.aspx.

The new representative will be asked to attend the YLS Council meeting set for Friday, November 20. This will be a virtual meeting.

If you would like further information or have any questions, please contact Brett Rolwes at (573) 635-4128 or yls@mobar.org
