The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section to host CLE networking events for all Missouri lawyers
The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section is hosting several continuing legal education and networking events throughout Missouri in November.
Upcoming CLEs
Two upcoming CLE events will feature the film “The Milly Project” followed by a panel discussion. “The Milly Project” tells the story of an enslaved woman named Milly Sawyers who fought for and won her freedom in Springfield, Missouri before the Civil War. In 2021, “The Milly Project” won Best Screenplay and Best Social Justice Film and was nominated for Best Acting Ensemble at the New York International Film Festival. Watch the trailer here.
Kansas City: Nov. 5 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Polsinelli Law Firm, 900 W. 48th Place.
Joplin: Nov. 6 from 2-4 p.m. at Missouri Southern State University, 3950 E. Newman Road.
Friendsgiving networking events
All Missouri lawyers are also invited to join The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section diversity committee for networking and Friendsgiving. Food and beverages are provided, but guests are welcome to bring dishes if they would like. Click the links below to register.

Kansas City: Nov. 19 from 5-8 p.m. at Third Place Lounge, 1744 Broadway Blvd.
The mission of YLS is to enhance the professional growth and public service of new and recently admitted Missouri lawyers. All Missouri lawyers aged 36 or less or, if older, who have been admitted to any state bar for 10 years or less, are automatically members of the section at no additional cost.
