Timothy Lohmar named Prosecutor of the Year

Each year, The Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys presents a “Prosecutor of the Year” award to Missouri lawyer in recognition of that prosecutor’s service over the past year. The 2020 award has been presented to Timothy A. Lohmar.

Lohmar has served as the prosecuting attorney for St. Charles County since being appointed in 2012 and is currently president of Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys.

Lohmar attended law school at the University of Missouri-Columbia. After graduation, he entered into private practice in his hometown of St. Charles. During his years of private practice, Lohmar also served as the assistant prosecuting attorney for the City of O’Fallon; the prosecuting attorney for the City of St. Charles; and the first-ever municipal judge for the St. Charles County Municipal Court. In 2010, he was elected to serve as an associate circuit judge for the State of Missouri.

There's a special bond and deep roots when you serve in the community where you grew up,” said Lohmar. I am humbled at the tremendous responsibility and power to impact lives that is vested with the prosecutor, and it is especially satisfying to be able to do my part in keeping our community a great place to live.
