Vacancies exist in multiple districts for the YLS Council

Summary

Nominating petitions must be received by Sept. 13.

The governing body for the Young Lawyers' Section is the YLS Council, which is composed of approximately 35 young lawyers elected to serve two-year terms from districts across the state. Officers and executive committee members are elected from within the ranks of the council’s membership.

There are currently vacancies for one or more seats in several districts for the council.

The council requests that those interested in serving complete the nominating petition and file it with Brett Rolwes, The Missouri Bar YLS liaison, by 4 p.m., Monday, September 13. The council invites those who file to include a resume and brief statement explaining their interest in serving on the YLS Council. The nomination petition for the Appellate District Diversity Seat requires additional information. All eligible petitions received will be submitted to the YLS Council for consideration, and the new representatives will be elected by the council by the end of September.

If you would like further information or have any questions, please contact Brett Rolwes at yls@mobar.org or (573) 635-4128.
