Volunteer with the Missouri Disaster Legal Assistance Hotline

Are you looking for a quick and easy way to give back to your community in times of crisis? The Missouri Bar is looking for lawyers to volunteer with the Missouri Disaster Legal Assistance Hotline.

How it works:

1. When the president signs a disaster declaration, The Missouri Bar opens the Disaster Legal Assistance Hotline – (800) 829-4128.

2. Those affected by natural disasters call the hotline with legal questions.

3. Volunteer lawyers return the calls and provide free legal help. Lawyers can NOT represent callers or accept them as clients.

Lawyers can assist with various disaster-related legal problems like landlord-tenant issues, replacement of important legal documents, insurance claims, and contractor scams.
