YLS hosts drive for professional clothing donations

What would you wear to a job interview next week? What if you are entering or rejoining the workforce and don’t have the outfit you need to make the right first impression?

The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section collected donations for Dress for Success Midwest for their most recent service project. Dress for Success Midwest works primarily with women who are involved in job training, although their Connections to Success office in St. Charles also has a suiting boutique for men.

YLS’ professional apparel donations could provide the confidence individuals need to enter or return to the workplace, make a great first impression, and land a life-changing job.

For this drive, YLS collected multiple men’s suits, dozens of dress shirts, two pairs of dress shoes, and miscellaneous items such as dress pants, jackets, belts, etc. Specifically for women, the group brought in two suits, multiple suit dresses, a bag, watches, and dozens of blouses and dress pants.

“This drive was a great success and we hope that it will make a difference for this organization,” said Tristin Estep, YLS Council member representing District 9.

The YLS Council dedicates time each year during its regularly scheduled meetings to community service projects. Click here for more information on The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section.
