YLS seeks nominees for District 2 vacancy on leadership council

Nomination deadline is May 30

A vacancy has occurred on the Young Lawyers' Section (YLS) Council. The vacancy is in District 2 (the counties of Adair, Audrain, Chariton, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Lincoln, Linn, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Putnam, Ralls, Randolph, Schuyler, Scotland, Shelby, and Sullivan). The YLS Council will fill the vacancy by majority vote.

The term for the council seat will end September 2023, to fill the remaining time left of the two-year term. The individual who fills the vacancy, if still eligible, may then run for a full two-year term (2022-2024) in the next general election.

The council requests that those interested in serving complete the nominating petition and file it with Brett Rolwes, The Missouri Bar YLS liaison, by 4 p.m., Monday, May 30. The council invites those who file to include a resume and brief statement explaining their interest in serving on the YLS Council. All eligible petitions received will be submitted to the YLS Council for consideration, and the new representatives will be elected by the council in June 2022.

Information about the council is available at https://mobar.org/yls.

If you would like further information or have any questions, please contact Brett Rolwes at (573) 635-4128 or yls@mobar.org.
