YLS seeks nominees for two vacancies on leadership council, nomination deadline is June 21

Summary

Nomination deadline is June 21.

Two vacancies exist on the Young Lawyers' Section (YLS) Council.  The vacancies are in District 1 (the counties of Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway and Worth) and in District 6 (Cole, Moniteau and Osage). The YLS Council will fill these vacancies by majority vote.

The terms for both council seats will end September 2022, to fill the remaining time left of two-year terms. The individuals who fill each vacancy, if still eligible, may then run for a full two-year term (2022-2024) in the next general election.

The council requests that those interested in serving complete the nominating petition and file it with Brett Rolwes, The Missouri Bar YLS liaison, by 4 p.m., Monday, June 21. The council invites those who file to include a resume and brief statement explaining their interest in serving on the YLS Council. All eligible petitions received will be submitted to the YLS Council for consideration, and the new representatives will be elected by the council in July.
