Young Lawyers’ Section builds kits for families with sick children

Untitled design(12)The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section Council hosted a local community service project Feb. 25 to benefit the Ronald McDonald House in Kansas City. A key part of the section’s mission is to enhance the professional growth and public service of new and recently admitted Missouri lawyers.

While COVID-19 precautions prevented the council from serving the residents in person, group members came together to build on-the-go kits for the families being served by the local charity. YLS members assembled 125 kits including water and various snack options for the ease and convenience of these families for their trips to and from local hospitals.

The Ronald McDonald House serves all pediatric hospitals in the Kansas City metro area, keeping families with sick children close to each other and near the care and resources they need. For more information on The Missouri Bar’s Young Lawyers’ Section click here.
