Young Lawyers’ Section Council supports law students with networking, lunch

The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section Council co-sponsored the “How to Use Your Network” panel on April 9. The event, held at Washington University School of Law, was organized by the law school’s Public Service Advisory Board.  

Panelists included YLS Council members Elizabeth McNulty and Paige Sparks, as well as Mary Vogt of the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.  

“It was exciting to be able to give law students advice on how they can best utilize their networks, after the hard work they put in to establish them,” McNulty said. “YLS and the council are a way for me to grow my network further, so we also encouraged the students to get involved in The Missouri Bar through YLS.”  

After the panel, the council and PSAB also hosted a networking hour for students to put their newfound skills to use.  

On April 29, council members David Wasserman, Courtney Chen, and Darrian Castro provided lunch and snacks to first-year law students at the Saint Louis University School of Law.  

“As we all know, the stresses of exams can be overwhelming,” Castro said. “Providing lunch and snacks helped relieve at least some of that stress.”
