Nearly 50 lawyers took their oath of admission into The Missouri Bar on April 26 during the Spring Enrollment Ceremony at the Supreme Court of Missouri in Jefferson City. These individuals were part of the group of 58 who passed the February 2024 bar examination and met all other Missouri Bar admission requirements. View the list of #NewMOLawyers, and read a Q&A with Khalfani Mar’Na, one of those new lawyers, in this issue’s “Meet #MOLawyers.” View photos from the enrollment ceremony on the bar’s Facebook and Instagram pages (@MoBarNews).

Each week, The Missouri Bar provides links to all hand downs published online during the past seven days by the Supreme Court of Missouri and the Missouri Court of Appeals. The cases contain headings, summaries, and relevant links. Summaries are not part of the opinions of the Court and have been prepared for the convenience of the reader and should not be quoted or cited. View recent case summaries at MoBar.org/cases.

Tech Tip

Free Wi-Fi at a hotel or conference is very convenient when communicating with clients, but it’s like swimming in a contaminated pool (also found at a hotel near you). Communication on these open networks could lead to your device or information being compromised. Protect your and your clients’ information by using your phone as a hotspot for your other devices or using an office VPN or a VPN service.
