Lawyers recognized during 2023 MOLAP conference

Nearly 100 lawyers convened Thursday, Nov. 2, for the 2023 Missouri Lawyers’ Assistance Conference.

The annual event brings together individuals who are passionate about well-being, both professionally and personally. A variety of programming was available for CLE credit and focused on matters including the importance of sleep, maintaining personal identity, addressing silent disabilities, stress management, and more.

In addition, The Missouri Bar, in conjunction with The Bar Plan, honored three lawyers for their outstanding contributions to well-being in the profession.

Daniel Statler received the James T. Britt Memorial Award, which is presented to an individual who over the years or in a pioneering manner has advanced the cause of relief and recovery for attorneys in Missouri.

The Dorothy Kaiser Award was presented to Erica Mynarich in recognition of her pioneering contributions over the years in the field of chemical dependency, recovery, and continuing, compassionate care for female lawyers in Missouri.

Matthew Mahaffey received the Warren Welliver Award. It is presented to the lawyer who best exemplified compassion and concern for lawyers in Missouri during the past year.
