#MOLawyersHelp during the holiday season

Several Missouri lawyers with Polsinelli law firm tapped into the giving spirit of the season earlier this month and helped spread holiday cheer to families at risk of homelessness.

The Polsinelli law firm partnered with the Jewish Family Services’ Family Empowerment Program to collect and donate money and supplies to create holiday activity baskets for families in the Shawnee Mission School District that were either experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

The Family Empowerment Project is a partnership between Jewish Family Services of Greater Kansas City and the Shawnee Mission School District developed to identify families at risk of homelessness and help those families find long-term stable housing by connecting them to services like food pantries, employment assistance, and governmental benefit programs, according to a news release from JFS.

“Homelessness is stressful on every member of a family,” said Greg Kratofil, Polsinelli shareholder and Kansas City office managing partner. “Anything that can be done to provide comfort and support family togetherness during this time is so important.”

The Missouri Bar knows lawyers are committed to helping others through volunteering and pro bono work. Use #MOLawyersHelp to showcase the service of Missouri lawyers!
