Christian T. Gordon has joined St. Louis-based law firm Lewis Rice as a member in the Corporate Department. He will be practicing in the Environmental, Chemical & Toxic Tort and Real Estate practice groups.

Gordon’s practice focuses on assisting clients with environmental aspects of real estate and corporate transactions as well as regulatory compliance. He has experience in real estate development, including environmental due diligence, land acquisition, construction contracts and leasing, and negotiating the environmental terms of acquisition agreements. Gordon has managed the legal aspects of a brownfield project and several Energy Assurance Leases, dealt with federal and state agencies on compliance and enforcement issues, and assisted clients in managing environmental litigation.

Prior to joining Lewis Rice, Gordon served as an attorney in the legal arm of the United States Air Force, the Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG Corps), for more than 10 years. In 2019 Gordon was one of only five U.S. Air Force JAGs competitively selected to obtain his Master of Laws (LLM) in Government Procurement and Environmental Law from the George Washington University School of Law. Since graduating with his LLM in 2021, he has focused on practicing environmental law.

“Christian’s unique experience serving as a senior environmental law attorney for the U.S. Air Force and his deep understanding of the specialized field of government procurement and environmental law will be highly beneficial to our firm and clients,” said Lewis Rice Chairman Richard B. Walsh, Jr. “We are pleased to welcome him to our team of skilled and knowledgeable corporate attorneys.”
