As many took a pause for Thanksgiving, 2023-24 Missouri Bar President Megan Phillips thanked all members for their hard work and dedication. Fall’s time change can contribute to seasonal depression, a common but treatable concern. Some common signs of seasonal depression are sadness, loss of energy, fatigue, changes in sleeping (either oversleeping or difficulties sleeping), and changes in eating habits.

Nearly 100 lawyers met Thursday, Nov. 2, for the 2023 Missouri Lawyers’ Assistance Conference. The annual event brought together individuals who are passionate about well-being – both professionally and personally – for a variety of programing.
During the event, The Missouri Bar and The Bar Plan recognized Matthew Mahaffey, Erica Mynarich, and Daniel Statler for their outstanding contributions to well-being in the profession. Learn about the awardees and their work here.

The 2023 Annual Labor & Employment Law Symposium was held Friday, Nov. 3, at Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark. The event featured sessions on a variety of labor and employment law issues including a judicial panel with Hon. Stanley Wallach, Hon. Joseph Walsh, Hon. Chris McDonogh, and Hon. Robert Clayton.
