Legislation crosses from chamber of origin
Legislative update: March 22, 2024
When the Missouri General Assembly convenes on March 25, eight weeks remain in the legislative session. The only thing the legislature, constitutionally, is required to do is adopt a budget for fiscal year 2025 by May 10. If legislators do not, Gov. Mike Parson will call the legislature into special session until a budget is passed. Any bills remaining on the calendar after 6 p.m. on May 17 in either the House of Representatives or Senate will be tabled, as outlined in the Missouri Constitution.
This update lists the legislation that has passed in its chamber of origin and has been transmitted to the other for consideration, as well as the citations to the Revised Statutes of Missouri.
