Charlie Regan has joined The Regan Law Firm, LLC as a member. For more than seven years, Regan has primarily represented plaintiffs and their families in personal injury and medical malpractice cases throughout the Midwest. He has also engaged in high level state and federal criminal litigation. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law.

“I believe Charlie is one of the finest young lawyers in the country and am thrilled to have him join the firm,” said Kevin E. J. Regan, founder of the firm.

Dollar, Burns & Becker, LC is pleased to announce the addition of the name of Tom Hershewe to the firm. The new firm name is Dollar, Burns, Becker & Hershewe, LC.

“The firm’s name change recognizes Tom’s significant contributions to this firm and the outstanding results he has achieved for his clients,” said Tom Dollar, firm partner. “Since joining our firm a little more than 10 years ago, not only has he significantly grown our insurance bad faith practice group, he has become known as one of the Midwest’s premier bad faith attorneys.”

Hershewe, the leader of the bad faith practice group, represents insureds who have had their insurance companies abandon them after another person sued them. Even in cases where the insurance company defends its insured, Hershewe often serves as the insured’s personal counsel to ensure that the insurance company takes the correct steps to resolve the case. During his time at the firm, he has recovered more than $150 million against insurance companies for their failure to abide by good faith claims handling.

In addition to his law practice, Hershewe has been published countless times, including in the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys’ publication and the American Association of Justice’s Trial Magazine. He has been awarded the Up and Coming award by Missouri Lawyers Weekly and the David Dixon Appellate Advocacy Award by the Missouri Bar Foundation.

Currently, he is an active member of the Missouri Association of Trial Lawyers via his work on its Amicus Committee. In addition, he is also a member of the American Association for Justice and was recently on the Missouri Humanities Council. Outside of the legal community, he has dedicated a significant amount of time and resources to Operation Breakthrough, an organization in Kansas City that provides a safe environment for children in poverty.
