Dysart Taylor Cotter McMonigle & Brumitt, PC announces Michael J. Judy has been unanimously elected as managing director of the firm by its board of directors.
“Michael is a strong, visionary leader, and a trailblazer among his peers. He has the experience and business acumen necessary to help build upon the firm’s vibrant legacy and continue to grow our client base,” said Dysart Taylor President Patrick K. McMonigle. “As we settle into our new home at the Plaza Steppes, we are confident that Mike is the perfect leader to help shape and grow our firm in the years to come.”
Through his experience sitting on the firm’s executive committee and serving as the lead partner on the marketing and technology committees, Judy is uniquely positioned to manage the firm’s growing team of attorneys and professional staff.

Our firm’s history is well established and our commitment to the communities where we live, work, and raise our families is unwavering,” Judy said. “I look forward to preserving our culture of client service, camaraderie and entrepreneurism, all the while building on existing and new client relationships.”
A proven leader not only within his firm but also in the legal and local communities, Judy holds active leadership positions with community and industry groups. He is a member of the board of directors for the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired, the committee chair for the Casualty Committee of the Transportation Lawyers Association, and the secretary for the Future Leaders of USLAW.
In his practice, Judy defends trucking companies and their drivers against personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits, advises transportation industry clients on key aspects of their business, and guides clients to favorable results in defending claims against large and small entities. He also regularly presents to and consults with companies in the transportation and retail and hospitality industries regarding risk mitigation, claims handling best practices, and loss prevention.
Judy earned his law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law and his undergraduate degree in psychology from Saint Louis University.
