Spencer Fane LLP announces Mitchell (Mitch) Martin has joined the litigation and dispute resolution practice group as of counsel.

Martin has tried cases to verdict in state and federal courts and handled appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the Supreme Court of Alabama, and the Illinois Court of Appeals. He focuses his litigation practice on product liability and commercial litigation. Martin also regularly assists clients with their compliance-related needs in the areas of data privacy and cybersecurity. 

“Mitch brings a collaborative and strategic approach to his work that fully aligns with the core components of the dynamic culture established at Spencer Fane,” said Amy Mistler, office managing partner for St. Louis. “Our firm remains committed to providing efficient and responsive legal services that address the full scope of our clients’ needs, and his addition to our litigation team bolsters our ability to advise clients facing mass tort claims, consumer class action litigation, and data privacy and cybersecurity issues.” 

Martin earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale, Illinois, cum laude. He completed his undergraduate studies at Harding University summa cum laude. 


Kansas City

Connor Brown has joined Sandberg Phoenix as part of the firm’s business litigation practice group. 

Brown is licensed to practice in Kansas and Missouri and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas.

Brown received his Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in 2022 and his B.A. in business administration, with an emphasis in economics, from Lindenwood University.
