Foulston Siefkin LLP will relocate its Overland Park office to the 14th floor of Lighton Tower, near College and Metcalf, in June 2022.

“Overland Park is a dynamic community and a great place for us,” said Tony Rupp, the partner‐ in‐charge. “We represent businesses, health care providers, and governmental entities in the Kansas City area and this great location is a fit for us.”

The floor’s efficient configuration allows Foulston to reduce its footprint by about 5,000 square feet from its current location in Corporate Woods, while offering great amenities as the firm plans for continued growth.

Foulston’s team of 20 lawyers and 12 staff will move into approximately 15,000 square feet on Lighton Tower’s top floor. The space is efficiently configured to accommodate future growth. Building amenities include abundant natural light, great views, gardens, and an outdoor patio. Lighton Tower, built in 1991, is a LEED Gold certified building, recognizing its sustainability and efficiency.

Foulston has offices in Overland Park, Wichita, and Topeka. It was founded in Wichita in 1919 and first opened a Kansas City area office in 2002. The firm’s lawyers based in Kansas Citypractice primarily in the areas of business transactions, litigation, employment and labor, healthcare, real estate, and estate planning.

Cape Girardeau

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Brian Payne has joined the litigation and dispute resolution practice group as an of counsel attorney in the firm’s Cape Girardeau office.

Payne believes that service to his clients begins with providing advice and information to help avoid unnecessary litigation. When it becomes apparent that litigation is either unavoidable or ultimately in the best interest of his client, the focus shifts to distinguishing those matters requiring a traditional approach from those best served by alternative dispute resolution techniques. His extensive experience at the appellate level ensures that his clients are afforded a consistent voice until the matter is resolved.

“Brian brings not only a long track record of successful litigation work at both the trial and appellate levels, but also strong ties to southeast Missouri,” said Mike Murphy, office managing partner for Spencer Fane in Cape Girardeau. “Our firm continues to pursue measured growth that benefits our clients, and we have taken this opportunity to strengthen our team with a high-quality attorney who fits well with our culture and commitment to collaborative, efficient legal services.”

Payne completed his undergraduate studies in business administration at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law.
